Pray for your role together as parents

Pray for your role together as parents, that there would be unity in dealing with difficult choices and situations. Pray that where you have differing opinions, God would help you reach consensus. If you do not have children, pray for your influence in the lives of younger men and women in your church and community.

Proverbs 22:6 "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it."

Deuteronomy 6:6-7  

6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:

7 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up

As you prepare to take on this role as parents, weather its your children together or separate, there should be one goal in mind. That's training up the child in the fear of the Lord. Teaching them the right way, instilling it in them and being their examples. All decisions should be made together and disagreements should never be done in front of the children. Pray for your children as well as the children in your church or your community. God will always help us come to a middle ground if we pray and ask His help.
