30 Day Prayer 4 Your Marriage Challenge Day 19
Pray for any temptations to sin or persistent sin issues either of you currently face
Pray all sin is seen with clarity. Confess your sin and do battle against the enemy and pray for God to bring about real, lasting change in your hearts. Pray you would both love obeying Jesus more than whatever is tempting you.
Mark 14:38 "Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak."
James 1:13-18
13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
16 Do not err, my beloved brethren.
17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first fruits of his creatures.
1 Corinthians 10:13 "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it."
Temptation is real and is often very seriously on the rise. Just because you're a Christian or a person in leadership doesn't mean you are exempt. Temptation comes in many forms, not just lust. Whatever form it takes, just be ready to pray it doesn't take down you or your spouse. We are to watch as well as pray and know that God will keep us if we want to be kept. Pray for you and your spouse to not be lead into temptation or fall into it. Join us tomorrow for day 20, God bless.
