30 Day Prayer 4 Your Marriage Challenge Day 14
Pray for any areas of disagreement you’re facing
Petition God for unity and clarity to move forward. Pray that the conversations about things you disagree on can transpire without petty bickering. Pray a prayer of repentance for any sinful responses you’ve had toward your spouse, and then go to your spouse and ask for forgiveness.
Ephesians 4:1-3 "1
I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,
2With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
3Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace."
Proverbs 17:14 "The beginning of strife is as when one letteth out water: therefore leave off contention, before it be meddled with."
Disagreements are a part of marriage, every marriage. How you handle them are key to your relationship. As a Christian, marriage is ministry. Both parties need to be in agreement with as much of it (marriage) as possible. If you speak to your spouse in the wrong tone or manner, apologize, and ask forgivness. Move on, don't hold on to it. Examine yourself, see why certain issues are sore spots and go before the Lord in prayer. As you meditate on the scriptures above, please, keep an open line of communication and prayer in your marriage. Join us for day 15 tomorrow, God bless.
