Today's devotional is from Matthew 26:41 

41 Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. NKJV

Have you ever wanted to do something and you were willing to do it but you were just too tired or couldn't find the time to do it. That's what happened with the disciples and Jesus. Jesus asked them to pray with him for an hour while he went to pray to His father. When he got done and he came back down to meet the disciples, He found them asleep. He said to Peter, could you not watch with me one hour, watch and pray that you enter not into temptation, the spirit is willing and the flesh is weak.

The disciples wanted to pray with Jesus they intended to, but their flesh was weak and they fell asleep as we do sometimes when we enter into things whatever it may be. It could be prayer, we may want to pray, we may want to spend time with God, and we intend to and maybe we might even start but then we'll fall asleep because of our flesh. This scripture is a good basis for sacrifice. If we make sacrifices concerning our flesh then we can overcome the weakness of it and get down to business with our intentions to do whatever it is that we start to do.

Today, as you go into living your life, watch and pray. Be aware of the enemy. He doesn't want you fellowshipping with God, spending time with Him. Get your flesh under control. It's your weapon to fight the enemy with.

As with every post I would like to extend an invitation to anyone that wants to accept Christ as their Lord and Savior. If this is you today, just recite this prayer. 

Lord Jesus, I repent of my sins and surrender my life to you. I believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God. That he died on the cross for my sins and rose again on the third day for my victory, I believe that in my heart and make confession with my mouth, that Jesus is my Lord and savior.

If you recited this prayer, then you are saved according to Romans Chapter 10 verses 9 and 10. If you don't have a church, please search for a good Bible teaching, truth speaking church. Pray and ask God to send you to the right church, He will answer. I am so proud of you and I would like to welcome you to the family. The angels are rejoicing in heaven for you.
