Today's devotional is from

Hebrews 2: 14 - 15

14 Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, 

15 and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

Jesus became flesh and blood like us, a human. Through Jesus's death He destroyed the power that the devil had in death, rendering him powerless over death.

Jesus's death freed us from a lifelong fear of death. That fear kept us in a state of bondage until we found faith in Christ, and now we have hope and freedom. Isn't that a blessing to be able to defeat the devil in death. With Christ we die to live again and the devil has no part in that. 

As with every post, I would like to extend an invitation to anyone that wants to accept Christ as their Lord and Savior. If this is you today, just recite this prayer.

Lord Jesus, I repent of my sins and surrender my life to you. I believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God. That he died on the cross for my sins and rose again on the third day for my victory. I believe in my heart and make confession with my mouth that Jesus is my Lord and Savior.

If you recited this prayer, then you are saved according to Romans Chapter 10 verses 9 and 10.
If you don't have a church, please search for a good Bible teaching, truth speaking church. Pray and ask God to send you to the right church, He will answer. I am so proud of you and I would like to welcome you to the family. The angels in heaven are rejoicing for you.
