Today's devotional is from

1 Corinthians 7:22

22 For he who is called in the Lord while a slave is the Lord’s freedman. Likewise he who is called while free is Christ’s slave.

In this scripture Paul was addressing the Corinthian believers who were slaves and reassuring them that their salvation in Christ would transcend their earthly status. 

The moment a person converts to Christianity they become a believer in Christ. They come from slavery to faith highlighting their new spiritual freedom in Christ. 

Basically the scripture just tells us that regardless of our previous status all believers are equal in Christ. We are all free from the bondage of sin and are now servants of Christ. Paul's message is that person's identity and their worth are not determined by their social standing but it is determined by their relationship with Christ. 

As with every post. I would like to extend an invitation to anyone that wants to accept Christ as your Lord and Savior. If this is you, just recite this prayer.
