30 Day Prayer 4 Your Marriage Challenge Day 3
Pray for devotion to spiritual disciplines
Today we want to pray for consistent study of scripture with memorization of the word. Along with those let's pray for spiritual discipline in prayer, tithing and fasting .Let's pray that our spouses will not be discouraged in the pursuit of God but will run the race of faith with endurance all your lives.
Hebrews 12:1 "Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us."
Acts 20:24 "But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God."
Ephesians 4:22-24 "That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness."
In a marriage, we are to be submissive, complimentary and attentive. Serving our spouse, committed, faithful and prayerful. The two become one in the union of holy matrimony but yet an individual. Prayer for our spouse is what helps keep the two intertwined in God. Lifting up our spouses in prayer will help us become determined to continue this race. Hebrews says to lay aside every weight, when it gets tough, our spouse is who should be there cheering us on.
Marriage building takes time and all 3 scriptures will help us in our prayer for our spouses spiritual discipline. I do want to remind you all that marriage is ministry, it has to grow just like we do in Christ. This has been day 3 and I hope you all are enjoying the challenge and seeing results. Join us tomorrow for day 4 of the 30 day marriage challenge. God bless.
