30 Day Prayer 4 Your Marriage Challenge Day 18
Pray for the emotional health of your marriage
Today we will pray that both you and your spouse will acknowledge feelings both good and bad. If there is any emotional pain in your spouse’s life, pray God would bind up those wounds and that your spouse would find the help he or she needs to work through them. Pray for sensitivity to your spouse’s feelings and guidance for talking to him or her about emotional issues.
Philippians 4:6-7
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Psalm 147:3 "He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds."
Praying for pain in anyones life is needed. Talking about hurts and pain is good to do while getting to know your spouse before, during and after marriage. Some hurt and pain takes a while to go away. But in the scriptures above God lets us know that we can ask for anything in prayer with supplication and thanksgiving. Also HE will give us a peace that will pass all understanding and keep our hearts and minds, only through Him. God will heals our broken hearts and binds up our wounds. Pray that your spouse is receptive of sharing and praying. It will make a world of difference in your marriage. I certainly hope this challenge is a blessing in your marriages. Join us tomorrow for day 19, God bless.
