30 Day Prayer 4 Your Marriage Challenge Day 2

        Pray for spiritual growth in your marriage

After focusing on our spouses relationship with God and a deeper walk. Today we will pray that our spouses would be deeply rooted in the Word and that they would bear lots of fruit for Gods kingdom. Pray your spouse exemplifies leadership in your church, family and community so they are able to lead others to a stronger relationship with Christ by their example. Pray for your own spiritual walk, that you would be rooted in Christ, strengthened in faith and overflowing with thankfulness. This combination of prayer will be a plus for your marriage.

Colossians 2:6-7 "As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in Him: Rooted and built up in Him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.

John 15:8 "Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples."

In both scriptures we find that receiving Christ and glorifying the Lord are things we are supposed to be doing in our walk as Christians. Colossians explains that if we walk in Him by faith, we can become rooted and built up in Him. As we glorify Him, we bear much fruit as His disciples (John 15:8) Meditate on these scriptures as part of this marriage challenge.

Praying this prayer for your spouse is sure to activate the attributes of Christ in your marriage. Charity starts at home and spreads abroad, so it reaches outside your home to the community, and church as well as individuals. Join us tomorrow for day 3.
