30 Day Prayer 4 Your Marriage Challenge Day 5

Pray God would grow your fellowship with other believers
Pray that God would bring godly community into you and your spouses lives. Godly men and women who will lead you both closer to God and not away from him. Pray for selflessness on your part as your spouse spends time with friends, even if that means sometimes sacrificing time with you. Fellowship is important in a marriage.

1 John 1:7 "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin."

Hebrews 13:16 "But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased."

Colossians 3:16 "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord."

I have an exercise for you guys. As we meditate on the scriptures above and being cleansed from all sin, walking in the light and having fellowship with others we will see our marriage coming to a full circle. There should be a balance in your lives in your marriage. Sacrifice may be needed as you or your spouse may need time to minister and fellowship apart from each other. Take to heart that you will be able to be with your spouse afterward. Remember we are all servants.

Write: Who are your 3 closest friends? Your spouse’s closest friends? Write their names on an
index card and commit to regularly praying for them, that they would grow closer to God and, in turn, draw you both closer to God. As you make time to do this selfless deed, watch God move on behalf of your marriage. Join us tomorrow for day 6, God bless.
