30-Day Praying for Your Pastor Challenge
Hello ladies. This month we want
to take some time out to pray for
our Pastors. They have a very challenging job and we are not always the easiest people to deal with. We being the congregation.
So I have taken this format from "Revive Our Hearts" and I want to use it to help us pray for our Pastors. Please feel free to leave any comments, suggestions, questions or feedback below. You can find the 30 day Pastor Challenge and more on the Revive Our Hearts website www.reviveourhearts.com

—1 Thessalonians 5:25 ''Brethren, pray for us."
There is no greater gift you can give your pastor and the spiritual leaders of your church than to pray for them.
Pastors cannot win the battle alone; they need committed intercessors to lift them up in fervent, specific prayer. Imagine how the power of God might be released in our churches if we were to pray faithfully for our pastors.
Pastors are human—they face the same challenges that their people do, with some additional ones! They grow tired in ministry, are tempted to sin, and may find it difficult to balance their many roles and responsibilities. They need the encouragement and support of those they lead.
Prayer for your pastor is crucial to the spiritual health of your pastor, his family, and your church. God will reward your efforts to cover him in prayer.
If you want to encourage your spiritual leaders (and their wives!), let them know you are praying for them. Ask them periodically for any specific prayer requests, and assure them you will pray accordingly.
Day One: The Greatest Commandment
Scripture Reading: Deuteronomy 6:5
“You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.”
Matthew 6:33
"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."
***Pray that your pastor will love God with all his heart, soul, mind, and strength. Pray that God’s Spirit will work in his heart in power and that he will value and follow biblical priorities.
My prayer
Father, I pray that you watch over Pastor Tom and give him strength to lead your people. Give extra wisdom and knowledge where needed to serve as you need him to. I speak health, spiritually and naturally to him and his family. I ask that you give him a heart after your own, and stir up the giftings inside of him that you have placed. Continue to use him, and mold him as he speaks biblical truth with no compromise. Lord, thank you for a Shepard sent from you. Set his face like a brick and make his skin thick, so as not to fall prey to the tactics of the enemy with waver or doubt. These things we ask in Jesus' name. Amen.
You too can pray for your Pastor, prayer changes things. See you tomorrow. Be blessed.
