It's that time of year again, holiday season. Thanksgiving and Christmas. No matter how you celebrate it, it's going to be acknowledged. As a born again believer, I tend to celebrate Thanksgiving almost on a daily basis minus the big food prep. Because I am a servant of God, I am thankful everyday for His blessings and for life. But what about those of us who don't know Christ, or the reason for the season? The holidays look a little different for those. With the constant raising of prices on everything it takes to live in this world, depression is on the rise, along with oppression and even suicide. A lot of lives are lost this time of year. If there were more emphasis put on the main reasons for these holidays I think it may make a change, even if it is a small one. There would be less to feel bad or sad about. Thankfulness and gratitude can be shown and displayed on a daily basis, yet the world commercializes on it yearly and makes people feel like the need for a big dinner spread is necessary. Or buying a bunch of gifts and things. We have all been there. Even me. Falling into debt, spending money we don't have only to lose what we need most. Whatever most is to each individual.
That is the biggest trick and lie told every year. The same with Christmas. Celebration can cost nothing. Celebrating life however you want. Knowing that you have this life because of Jesus Christ. That's a celebration. So you aren't a millionaire, most of us are not. But we still hold true the values of Christs' birth and making Him the reason for the season. Everyone may not agree, but this one thing is true. Jesus was born, lived, died and rose for us, our sins, so that we could live again. Too much time is spent debating the unknown. How about we just live the way we are taught in the bible. Going by the parables of Jesus of course. We are called to be Christ like. If ever you are in doubt about what that looks like, just refer back to the bible. Don't get caught up in heated discussions, do what you feel in your spirit to do. You are only accountable for you. Never forget that even if God doesn't do a specific thing, it's not that He can't. This holiday season, let's give thanks for the one who was born and died for our sins so that we can live again.
As I do in most posts, I would like to extend an invitation to anyone that wants to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior. If this is you, then just recite this prayer:
Lord Jesus, I repent of my sins and surrender my life to You. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. That he died on the cross for my sins and rose again on the third day for my Victory, I believe that in my heart and make confession with my mouth, that Jesus is my Lord and Savior.
If you recited this prayer, then you are saved according to Romans Chapter 10 verses 9 and 10. If you don't have a church, please search for a good bible teaching, truth speaking church. Pray and God will send you to the right church, he will answer. I am so proud of you and I would like to welcome you to the family. The angels are rejoicing in heaven for you.
We are available if you need someone to communicate with. You can email us at admin@urbeauty4ashes.com. Have a very blessed and productive day. Remember, I love you with the love of the Lord! See you next post.
