BEAUTY MARKS PART 1

Today begins our 4 week journey in our "Beauty Marks Bible Study~ Part 1"

As women, we all have had some things bother us in our lives. Things like weight, self esteem, relationship issues, and the list goes on and on. Well, I'd like to take the time and present some information to you about what's called "Beauty Marks". Now in the natural, some of us have moles on our faces. For whatever reason, people call them beauty marks. Then we have alot of us that have identifying marks on our bodies called birth marks. All marks we were born with. Some are self inflicted, by our own choice, and they are called tattoos. Other marks are cuts, bruises, and accident or incident causing. All inflicted by ourselves or someone else. With that being established, God uses our marks, flaws and inflicted marks for a purpose in our lives. Some of the purpose hurts, feels like an elevation in education either in the natural or the spirit, some even feels like death, like we shouldn't be here, despair. But all in all it's meant to bring us closer to God. To our purpose.

Scriptures

Psalms 34:18

The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
Psalms 147:3
He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.

Both scriptures are about how the Lord will heal our broken hearts and bind up our wounds. Alot of us are wounded, and our hearts are broken. We are broken in spirit and just need a complete overhaul. God is with us. He is taking what we have been through and is using it to rebuild us so to speak. All the wrong decisions, the wrong words said, the bad choices, are all used to participate in God's molding project of us. The scars we have whether they are self inflicted or person inflicted, all are designed to benefit us in the long run. God is a God of second chances and He will be what we let Him be to us. As we go through life with our tattoo's, our scars, our cuts and bruises, and our brokenness from life, the one thing we should never forget is that. God will give us beauty for ashes, this is found in Isaiah 61:3

"to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified."

A scripture not listed above. But this simply means that He will replace the ashes of repentance that were sprinkled on our heads during our bad and rebellious times with a crown, He will replace the anointing of the Spirit where tears once filled our eyes and streamed down our faces, and He will replace a glad and happy heart that wants to praise Him, instead of a heavy one that kept us in despair. Lastly God will help us become strong, enduring Christians, proven righteous saints planted in Him, therefore, life-giving and enduring, and in our beauty and strength we will be manifesting His glory through our lives.

I know this to be a fact, I was in need of a make over, all scarred up from life and God fixed me right up. I still have to revisit the chair to be made over from time to time, but God has me in his hand and I will never ever take that for granted. Hence the ministry of Ur Beauty 4 Ashes Women's Ministry was born. We must remember that we can go to the throne of grace whenever we need to.
