BEAUTY MARKS PART 1
Welcome to Beauty Marks Part 1 Week 2
Our journey continues with Week 2 of our study.
Scriptures
Isaiah 53:5 "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed."
John 16:33 "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."
Hebrews 12:1-3 "Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
All these scriptures are helpers in helping us remember that God is for us. In all our bruises and hurts and in this life, our sickness and disease, the scripture in Isaiah 53 verse 5 tells us that Christ was wounded for our transgressions, which is our sin, bruised for our iniquities, in other words our moral evils, the chastisement of our peace- peace here refers to how we may have obtained peace with God, making an effort to keep peace with God. Stripes are our wounds and we are healed (rapha-means to mend or cure) this refers to our spiritual condition being made.
John 16:33 tells us how Jesus has overcome the world and we can be happy about that. Jesus speaks on how He's told us that He's already spoken that if we are in Him we will have peace and if we are not in Him and are of the world, we will have tribulation. There He spoke and told us what was to be. In whatever heart state we are in Jesus is the answer. So it doesn't matter what our physical state is, God is there to give us peace in our flawed lives.
In our last scripture we find that there is a race we need to win. We need to lay aside every weight that is attached to us to keep us connected to God and to keep us from being hindered in our race. Patience is also a virtue and we need it so we wont give up during this race for salvation. In other words Jesus has already finished the race for us. We are already destined to win if we follow Christ. Our lives are already designed to live for Christ. We just need to stay focused with our minds on Christ. Jesus endured the cross and suffering for us ,that pretty much gives us a pass to heaven, but at the cost of sacrifice on our part. Though we have all these flaws, all these hang ups, wounds, bruises and scars in our life time, Jesus is here to make them beauty marks and give us a beautiful appearance. This wraps up Week 2 of Beauty Marks Part 1. I hope you have enjoyed and learned something from the lesson. See you next week for Week 3. Please feel free to comment, leave questions and even suggestions you may have. God bless and be blessed til next time .
