Candid Christian Women - Being Found For Marriage in Today's Society



Hello ladies, welcome to the very 1st post of Candid Christian Women. Our topic today is:
Being Found For Marriage in Today's Society.

I would like to extend an invitation for you all to weigh in on this discussion.

My OPINION on this topic is that today, we have a bunch of damaged men and women all looking for different things that they think is love. Even in the church arena, depending on the church denomination and the leaders. Some don't even get the opportunity to discuss anything about the opposite sex, sex, or what and how to recognize the mate God has for you. This is only the case because of the doctrines, traditions and practices of some church denominations. There is no order, so there is no godly council. Key word being godly. So we have a lot of emotions, opinions, traditions, and flesh doing the choosing. Which accounts for 90% of divorce in the church. So we have no structure on how to choose a mate or how to be found by a mate.
Now my BIBLICAL position on this topic is that the bible says that "Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord" Proverbs 18:22 That is self explanatory. Whoso is He. So we know its the male doing the finding. Why? Because a wife is a woman. A man cannot be a wife. In biblical terms. So we know now that the man does the finding, but is it okay to date? Well this is what I came up with. These are some scriptures I found to go with our topic.

1.John 14;15 "If ye love me, keep my commandments."
Simply put if we love the Lord, we will obey the commandments. We will choose to live biblically and deny our flesh to live as the world does. God's word is full of things that tell us how to date and still be a Christian.
2. 1 Corinthians 6:9 "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind."
Scripture lets us know exactly what will happen if we don't obey the bible. We will not inherit the kingdom of God.
3. James 1:13-15 "Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: 
"But every man is tempted,when he is drawn away of his own lust or enticed."
"Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin when it finished, bringeth forth death.
So now we have some clarity about the majority of relationships outside of God's will. When we were in sin, we did as sin is.Which is having sexual relationships outside of marriage  and conceiving children.Which causes all types of issues and problems because the order was wrong and God was not a part of it. God never tempts us, we fall into temptation. Ladies, we all know our weaknesses. So its up to us to set the boundary lines. There shouldn't be any personal contact except for a hug in the beginning anyway.Some may decide to kiss, in all your decision making keep a strong mind that no intimacy is to occur until marriage. Not everyone came to know the Lord before marriage, and divorced for whatever reason. But those of us who are in Christ and know Christ as our savior know to do right. We are held accountable for what we do. right or wrong. Born again believers are to live according to the bible, We all know ourselves and should not do anything that will jeopardize our relationship with God at any cost.
Some say don't date some say date. Some say wait on the Lord to send the man. All of these things hold true, but according to the individual. We have to d what's beneficial for us. It doesn't matter which 1 you choose or how you go about getting to know your mate to be, you just need to remember, you have a relationship with God 1st. The wages of sin is death.
As you read this, please keep in mind that each of us have our own individual relationship and walk with God. Let's do this being found for marriage thing the right way, godly and with Christ as our guide.
