Be Encouraged

You know, a lot of people get down, depressed, feeling low. You know that feeling of defeat, the one that makes you feel like you just want to be alone, not talk to anyone, just hide from the world. Yea, that feeling. Well, I get that way a lot, and I find that music is my go to. Sometimes it's the bible reading to me on You version, other times it's watching Dr. Rod Parsley or Pastor Tamera Bennett online. But my go to feel better, is music. I have a ton of faves, but situation songs are my medicine. 

One day I was driving and I was just playing Air 1 radio and this song came on. "This Is How I Thank The Lord" It's always the words for me and as I was driving the words just started to minister to me and tears began to run down my face. At that time I had an understanding of  exactly why I pray sometimes with no words, or in just my heavenly language, or with just lifted hands. I understood at that moment God knows what I mean and how I feel and that encouraged me. I felt like I had just visited with God and He sent me home with a big to go plate of hugs and love and a large cup of joy. Sometimes it's the alone time with God that will encourage us better than a friend. 

Psalm 138:3 says "In the day when I cried thou answered me, and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul."KJV

"As soon as I pray, you answer me; you encourage me by giving me strength." NLT. 

Two different versions both of strength and encouragement. The words to some songs are and can be very instrumental in our lives. I hope I have shed some light on the realism of people in ministry and our human side. We are very human and we will feel emotion, just make sure you have a support system, and a big dose of Jesus.
