Christian Women and Modesty
I am a little upset that some Christian Women are so petty about dress. I feel that a Christian womans, modesty is an individual thing. If you are really saved, you won't wear a dress with the cleavage down to your stomach and a split up to your lady part. That shows you are not Christ minded because you are exposing your body. We know that modesty is a big deal because we are different when it comes to Christ. A lot of us have curves, do we wear burlap sacks because of it? No....we do not, I think some Christian are operating in a spirit of jealousy and envy and maybe know their husband's have a roaming eye. A dress that's form fitting or shows a woman's curves is not a sin. I think that there is too much emphasis on dress and none on the heart. Just because we're Christians does not mean we have to wear long dresses with turtle necks. The difference between two women in the same form fitting dress is their hearts and their lives. The only real judge is God. What's inside of us is going to come out regardless of a dress. A woman wearing a dress for the style of the dress will deliver that message, A woman with the wrong spirit or no spirit at all will deliver that message as well. I think we need to spend more time with God and His word, spreading the gospel and less time evaluating a persons dress. I know if I wear a dress and my motive for wearing it is not to glorify Jesus, then nothing spiritual will come out of my mouth. If I wear a dress that is mistaken for worldly attire and it is a dress that is form fitting and I have no other mind but to glorify Jesus. Then spirituality will come forth. So I advise all the ladies who don't like my dress to get up and leave. Watch Jesus reflect from me, not my form fitting dress. Men if you see anything besides the Jesus in me, that may be your time to recognize the spirit you have inside of you. It's all a matter of how much flesh we have living inside of us. We should not have to change our dress code because you can't spend more time purifying your heart and beating down your flesh. Something to think about. Erica Campbell, shout out to you girl. With your three kids. You were wonder and fearfully made to wear that dress. Even Jesus had haters. Let us check our hearts ladies, and gentlemen. Is it the dress or us? I would totally wear all of these outfits. Nothing impure about any of them. Let's weigh in people, What is your take on modesty?
