When You Don't Understand Why
As a believer In Christ, you are subjected to do things His Way unless you CHOOSE to do things out of your own free will. Proverbs tells us that we don't have to understand why things happen to us, because God's thoughts and ways of doing things are so much better than doing things our way. His ways are more direct and can take so much less time and suffering on our behalf to go through. The hard part is that we have to submit ourselves to Him and believe He will deliver us!! Easier said than done!!
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in The Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and he shall direct your paths.
Isaiah 55:8-9
For My Thoughts are not your thoughts, nor your ways My ways, says The Lord.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My Ways higher than your ways, and my Thoughts than your thoughts.
Romans 8:28
And we know ALL things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called to His Purpose.
There's a work God is doing in us to perfect us In Christ. For example, God always takes a bad situation and turns it around for good. He doesn't waste anything, no matter what we go through. We learn of His Love, Mercy, Grace and Forgiveness through the situation. We lean on Him because He will never leave us or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5), He sticks closer than a brother (Proverbs 18:34), and We won't be tempted beyond what we can withstand, because God will use that situation as a way of escape (1 Cor. 10:13). David said in Psalm 23:4, Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for You are with me.
We see that all of His Promises will bring us into a closer relationship with Him, so He is Glorified!! Praise God!!
Jeremiah 29:11
For I Know the thoughts that I Think towards you, says The Lord, thoughts of peace and NOT of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
2 Corinthians 12:7-10
...Therefore, in order to keep me from becoming conceited, I was given a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan,to torment me. Three times I pleaded with The Lord to take it away from me. But He said to me "My Grace is sufficient for you, for My Power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's Power may rest upon me. That is why, for Christ's Sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, I am strong.
God has a Grand Plan to ensure your salvation. His Plans are perfect and flawless. They are needed to give us Godly traits and characteristics. In conclusion, our "thorns" are used to keep us humble. These plans prepare us for serving Him in ministries, relationships, and life in general.
May The Lord Of All Richly Bless You!!
