Spiritually Speaking

It's been a while since I posted a Spiritually Speaking Segment. But today I feel lead to speak on the Holy Spirit and how we need it to live a full Christian life. Without it we can't please God. Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God. So it goes beyond our natural bodies. Here it shows us in scripture

1 Corinthians 15:50 KJV

"Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption."

We also cannot worship Him truly without it. God is a spirit and we MUST worship Him in spirit and in truth. 

John 4:24 KJV

"God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

Again going beyond our natural bodies. Once we confess the Lord with our mouth and believe in our heart that he died for our sins and rose from the dead and sits on the right hand of the Father, we are saved. But we need more than that to live a righteous life in Christ. 

Romans 10:9

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."

The more we seek God the more He will draw closer to us. If we abide in Him He will abide in us.

James 4:8 KJV

Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

John 15:7 KJV

"If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you".

We can't do anything in ourselves and scripture helps us remember that. When it comes to the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, because He is power, we are empowered when He dwells inside of us. He's a teacher, a voice of reason and most of,

 all He is power. He will help us in our journey to live righteous lives. 

John 14:26 NKLV

"But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you."

Acts 1:8 KJV

"But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."

Titus 3:5 NKJV

"But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."

I hope this encourages you the next time you go through trials and tribulations, battles, wars, and times of darkness that the Lord is there for you, He's given you the strength and power to defeat the enemy. Stay encouraged.

Lord Jesus, I repent of my sins and surrender my life to You. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. That he died on the cross for my sins and rose again on the third day for my Victory, I believe that in my heart and make confession with my mouth, that Jesus is my Lord and Savior.
